Sixth World Peace Conference Held in Kuala Lumpur with UKM
Land of Peace Center for Development and Human Rights co-organized the Sixth World Peace Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in cooperation with the National University of Malaysia (UKM). The conference addressed World Peace and Alternatives to Violence, building on the Center's long-running program of international peacebuilding conferences that began in Tunisia and Turkey in 2019.
The event forms part of a wider memorandum of cooperation between Land of Peace Center and UKM, alongside a related cooperation agreement with Education Malaysia Jordan (EMJ), an initiative under Malaysia's Ministry of Higher Education. It follows the Center's Fifth World Peace Conference, held the previous year in Malé, Maldives, in partnership with the Islamic University of the Maldives.
These conferences reflect Land of Peace Center's approach to peacebuilding: sharing Jordanian field experience internationally while learning from partner institutions abroad, and translating that exchange into programming back home in Jordan.
