Our Work
Five strategic fields, one mission
Our 2024–2027 Strategic Plan focuses our work on five priority areas, each with its own outcomes, indicators and portfolio of projects.
Community Peace & Conflict Transformation
Given rising levels of violence in areas hosting Jordan's largest refugee populations, we work to place the foundations for community peace and serious dispute transformation — combatting extremism, opening channels with at-risk individuals, and strengthening humanitarian services that respond to gender-based needs.
Outcomes: improved precautionary measures against violence, hatred and extremism; a larger number of gender-responsive interventions.

Economic Empowerment
Jordan's unemployment rate rose from 11% in 2010 to around 19% by 2019, with female unemployment nearly double the male rate. We deliver two-stage programs — professional-skills training followed by specialized practical placement — to help marginalized young men and women access decent, productive work.
Outcomes: increased employment access for marginalized groups; higher uptake of non-traditional jobs among women.
Development & Governance
Development begins at the primary social circle — civil-society organizations closest to community issues. We build the institutional capacity of local councils and civil-society organizations so they can deliver better services and remain accountable to citizens.
Outcomes: improved quality and speed of public services; stronger citizen trust in local institutions.
Local Council Capacity Building
Participatory governance, gender integration, budgeting and archiving.
Local Legislation Advocacy
Advocacy and support-building for local governance legislation.
Abuse Monitoring & Legal Literacy
Tracking social, economic, psychological and other forms of abuse.
Human Rights Media Education
Building media literacy around human-rights reporting.
Human Rights
We work to strengthen legal culture and monitor rights violations in the communities we serve, providing legal support and awareness for groups most exposed to abuse — with particular attention to persons with disabilities, stateless individuals and other vulnerable groups.
Outcomes: improved legal literacy in the local community; stronger follow-up and monitoring mechanisms for reported cases.
Institutionalization & Sustainability
Sustainability is the condition for existence, and institutionalization is the condition for sustainability. We invest continuously in our team's skills, our internal systems, and our governance so the Center can keep delivering results for the long term.
Outcomes: stronger learning & development for our team; improved operations and internal procedures.
