Overview: As part of a broader program addressing gender-based violence, this project trained young Jordanian women to maintain and repair cellular devices — building technical skills for a non-traditional profession and strengthening their economic participation.
The Challenge
Women's economic participation in non-traditional trades in Jordan remains limited, and gender-based violence programs identified a need for practical, income-generating skills that could shift both economic circumstances and social perceptions of "women's work."
Target Groups
Young women in the northern, middle and southern governorates seeking entry into technical, non-traditional professions as part of the Center's gender-based-violence prevention programming.
